SkyANN Event: Atoms to Bits: The AlphaBet of Intelligence (workshop on brain inspired computing), Manchester, UK – 27th February 2025.

The 1-day brain-inspired computing workshop is dedicated to connecting the worlds of emerging materials research, memristive device engineering, and the development of hybrid memristive-CMOS neuromorphic computing systems. By focusing on technological applications, it aims to spark conversations and collaborations that can help shape the next generation of intelligent computing. The workshop includes invited talks from leading researchers and practitioners on the latest breakthroughs in spintronics, memristive devices, and neuromorphic chips and architectures, panel discussions with a diverse panel of experts as they examine the role of neuromorphic computing in the UK and internationally, highlight key barriers to adoption, and envision paths forward for academia and industry and opportunities for networking and collaboration between experts in neuromorphic AI hardware from universities, spinouts, and industrial R&D labs.
